How does tattoo removal work ?
Tattoo ink is seen as a foreign body in the skin layer. Laser light targets the pigment, that causes photo acoustic fragmentation in the ink particles. These particles are then removed and drained out the body through the lymphatic system. Our laser picks up not only black ink but green and red also!
What can I expect after treatment ?
There will be a white frosting over the tattoo. This is a normal reaction and indicates the treatment has picked up the ink. The area will also be red and some swelling could occur.The area normally takes 7 to 14 days to heal over, although you have to wait 8 - 10 weeks before you have a further treatment.
Does it hurt?
Everybody's pain threshold is different. It may be slightly uncomfortable and can be similar to getting a tattoo.

How many treatments are needed?
We normally recommend 8 to 10 treatments for any one tattoo, although it does depend on each tattoo individually, the ink used, skin type and quality of tattoo,The Harmony laser is a medical graded laser which is powerful enough to target even the most stubborn ink. A patch test will be needed before any course of treatments begin.
Recommended course minimum 8 to 10 treatments.
